Currie Dance Studio has been a prominent dance and tumbling facility in the greater Des Moines area for over 60 years! We take a unique approach to making our classes fun and exciting without the stress and pressure of compeitition. We are a non-competitive dance and tumbling studio that works with children who want to be involved in other activities. We believe that dance & tumbling helps your child's confidence, self esteem, coordination and well-being. 

 

Classes are available ages 3 - adult.

We offer classes in Tap, Ballet, Jazz, Hip-hop, Pointe and Tumbling. Our progressive curriculum offers a variety of classes with a range of difficulty. Some classes are offered as combination classes & other classes are offered as one subject.

Achievements

Our studio was chosen to represent Iowa at Dance Excellence in California, on two separate occasions. This was quite an honor to be selected.

 

We had a large group of students perform as part of the 2013-14 National Outback Bowl Performance Team & performed again for the 2019-20 year. We then had students perform in the 2022-2023 ReliaQuest Bowl.

Currie dancers have performed numerous times on the Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines.

​

We continue our studies in dance by taking high school students to New York City & dancing at the Broadway Dance Center.

​

The Currie Tumbling Troupe performs at area college & high school basketball halftimes, Iowa Wild hockey games, and at the Iowa State Fair.

​

Over the years, we have produced many dance teachers & professional dancers.
